Choose your burdened Pilgrim character and set off from the City of Destruction. Roll the die and move round the board following the instructions. Beware landing on despair cards, they will slow your journey to the Celestial City - Atheist being the most dreaded card. Draw him and it's back to the City of Destruction with you.
All is not lost though, draw progress card and you will gain advantages over the terrors that await you on the journey: terrifying monsters, horrible giants, a cruel judge, raging lions, forbidding, dark and scary places, and worst of all the foul fiend Apollyon, the King of the City of Destruction.
Once past the cross you lose your burden, and armed with a rust sword you can set off with more strength for the next most terrifying part of your journey. But you will not be alone. You will meet good friends and advisers such as Evangelist (Listen well to his words), Help, Goodwill, Faithful, and many more. Beware though, some are villains like the Flatterer.
After many adventures you will arrive at the Celestial City. Play a scroll card and you can enter straight away, if not roll the correct number to enter. First in gets to build the final two stages of the Celestial City and will have arrived at their true home!
