God works in the most mysterious ways, even the most tragic times of our life, even through events as horrible as war. I learnt through this book The Spirit of the Light Horsemen that God can even use non-believers to glorify His name. It saddens me how little our youth are taught today about the Anzacs, and I'm grateful for all the insightful research compiled by Col Stringer, who has opened my eyes to our rich Australian heritage. God worked His glory through a young nation that didn't even exist until nearly 2000 years after the death & resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

They were the lighthorse infantry: men whose lives and campaigns in far-off places continue to capture the imagination of modern Australians whenever they are re-told. These men mirrored a society whose values and behaviours have long since gone – a vanished society whose manners, morals and principles underpin the very foundations of today's Australia. (The best fellows anyone could meet – The story of the 8th Light Horse Regiment).
Let the impact of what these men accomplished sink in, no other nation on the face of the earth can lay claim to what our Anzac forefathers achieved in the liberation of God's chosen city – Jerusalem! They were true historymakers and riders of destiny in both the natural and Biblical sense. (800 Horsemen – riders of destiny)
