RISE (Danny Gokey) Album

American Idol season 8 finalist Danny Gokey returns with Rise, a thirteen song set of charming contemporary country originals.

Drawing from his own experiences with depression and searching for meaning, Rise assures listeners that hope beckons even in the darkest moments (Stronger Than We Think). He acknowledges the social unrest that clouds our world but points toward the light that lies beyond its reach (Better Than I Found It). He promises that no problem is too great to overcome (The Comeback) and that even those wounded by loneliness can find love (Symptoms).

“I wanted to share my journey through the music on this album,” Gokey explains. “I have a story to tell to which I hope others will relate and I’ve realized that I have this gift of music through which to tell it. On Rise, I feel like I’ve really figured out how to connect my message with the music.”
