REVIEW

As a primary school teacher, I see children day to day face the struggles of self confidence and not knowing who they are and where they belong. I feel like I am constantly reminding them of how amazing they are and how their unique personalities make them special. Reading ‘The Jungle Mess-Up’ caught my eye and interest, not just through the lovely illustrations, but also the consistent reminder of the underlying message ‘I am fearfully and wonderfully made’ which is present on almost every page throughout the book. When read to my year 2 students, I received the following comments. “I liked how the lion looked after the animals the same way God looks after us.” “I thought it was so funny to see sheep in a tree and a camel trying to swim.” “I liked how the lion called the animals to the meeting the same way God calls us to Him.” - Rhi Paton, Grade 2 teacher

A beautiful story that is more than words on a page

I love this book and its message. So great to have a story to read my kids that encourages them to remember who they are in God. To be honest, I could also spend hours looking at the colourful illustrations too! I have no doubt that this book will be loved by all children and adults.
